I know a dude in a redline that has this. Said its good for about 10 HP on a cobalt/redline. If 10 HP is worth that money to you go for it, I would rather invest in stage kits/smaller pulley. its supose to clean things out too, but I dont think its worth it to be honest.

I think it would be very worth it, i was looking into doing it but the only thing is that the jet needs to be after the S/C which might not be too bad if you drill and tap a hole in the intake manifold and put the sprayer there. I would go for it.

That's is the best way to do it, but I really don't want to go there until it's absolutely necessary.

Check out www.alkycontrol.com. Julio is a great guy and really knows his stuff! He can set you up with a complete kit that has a progressive controller that rocks! Trust me, it's worth it.

I believe Selfinfliction has already had adventures with it, last summer if I remember correctly. He took it back off because of issues, but I don't remember if he said what they were, possibly just because of the other parts he was being a guinea pig for. You might want to PM him and see if he has any suggestions or experiences to share with you.

I think to fully utilize Methanol you need to increase your timing. We can't do that until someone releases some tuning capabilities for us.

yep.. it's not worth the hassle on our cars unless you're running some major mods. the only real benefit we could get from it is keeping KR down at 18-20psi and on hot days it would help build boost just like on cool days.

here's the tutorial i wrote up on installing one (the only thing not in this how to is how to hook up the boost sensor and wire it into the fuseblock)

Exclamation Don't do it!!

Methanol is bad for your car; it needs to be bulit for methanol. That's even in the owner's manual. Don't use any fuel containing methanol and don't use octane boosters with MTBE.

I think methanol injection will eat the Teflon coating on the rotors of our blowers.

The methanol will eat up seals and such; it's corrosive. This is why you can't run Ethanol in a non-ethanol compatible vehicle. Extra care has to be taken to protect against the alcohol fuels.

It wont eat it up if you drill them into the intake manifold.

The problem with that is it gets used up right away. Water-methanol injection can be used every day on a daily driver, as well as at the track.

Methanol won't "eat up" your blower unless you remove you blower and soak it in a vat of methanol. Even then it won't happen like its acid or something.

Water-methanol has been injected through thousands and thousands of Eatons for hundreds of thousands of miles.

Incorrect the Gen V M62 blower rotors use a new coating, no more Teflon

that aside, the best way to do this is to add an adaptor plate allowing the Meth to be sprayed after the blower

It's not just the power gain from it itself that rocks. It's the fact that you can run alot of boost and timing without KR. That will make the car much faster!
