As far as I know, there are only going to be a handful of MP90 kits made.
I think Steve is asking $1300 for his kit. So price wise, its a lot cheaper then a new TVS. Compared to a used TVS is a horse a piece. If anyone is looking at a used TVS make sure to buy one that has not meth ran through it. It voids the warranty and has caused some problem for a handful of people. Or expect to pay an additional $200 to have ZZP rebuild it.
For reference:
M62 = 1 Liters of air per rev
TVS = 1.32 Liters of air per rev
MP90 = 1.45 Liters of air per rev

ya i still cnt decide between the 2 the tvs is a bolt on specific to our application and just a tad smaller
but the question is with all the extra fab work with the adapter plate is dd the car still do able
plus im not looking to ditch my exhaust or injectors for 80's and 3'

Running an adaptor plate for the MP90 is not going to make your car any less of a dd. And you don't HAVE to run 80's and 3" exhaust. It's all in how far you want to push it.
100% correct. Without the adapter plate there would be no way to bolt the MP90 to our manifolds.
im torn between investing in upgrading the m62 and just saving for one of your mp90 kits >.< im fairly convinced that ill prefer the torque of the mp90 over the centrifical properties of the tvs. i like the instant power of the roots blower, i dont want to give it up.
TVS is a roots blower. It doesnt act like a centrifugal at all
yes. the tvs is a different rotor design, but still a roots. the mp90 is basicly the same rotor design as the m62, just bigger. the video above from rebal auto works is a lyshom blower, its a twin screw. its a little different than a roots blower, however acts similar, just more efficient.
Yes, the point of the higher twist angle is to allow the air to flow into the rotors more slowly thereby increasing volumetric efficiency and reducing heat buildup. Since it only forces air in while not internally compressing it, like a screw, it is still very much a roots blower
Does the MP90 fit under the hood and in the bay without any more modification? (Sorry if that silver SC is one, I'm not overly familiar.
Ive heard the twin-screws are more efficient under boost, but less efficient when you are just cruising, due to the lack of a bypass/pressure reliever valve. Is this why people stick with the roots-style when they are swapping?
I know half of the reason I bought my cobalt was to have the good mileage and not have a bitch car.
