Well ruined my head today buy messing up my timing chain tensioner. About how much am I looking at to rebuild my head? Would an LNF head fit on my block and everything just go together? Lol maybe a dumb question but who knows I'm desperate my dd is down.

Never replaced your timing chain tensioner with the latest revised one, or you somehow installed a new one wrong?

I had the randomly chattering sound from timing chain being loose. Ordered a new AC Delco tensioner from crate engine depot. Found one of the step by step guides on replacing it. Followed that then started it ten heard a horrible sound then hurried up and turned it off. Removed everything again and then saw a broke a push rod. I'm guessing I twisted in the tensioner the wrong way. Is there some kind of special way to put it in? I'm like totally screwed. Work and go to school full time now with only my wife's car and she does the same.

Lol I know that's not my tensioner. I said installing it wrong is what caused these to break off when I started the car.

Wanna say one of those is part of a lash adjuster and the other is a cam follower.

Here's a previous thread on your same issue.
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l...e-info-274495/

And here's the part you need to replace.

Yeah... I'm not really sure what all I should replace yet but I'm sure it'll be a pretty penny.

Well I figured when I screwed up my timing tensioner and started the car it maybe bent valves. Is there a certain way to screw in the tensioner?

Well I started my car with the timing chain tensioner installed wrong so it maybe bent valves. I literally removed everything and then screwed in the new tensioner and started the car and it was rubbing on something and making crazy sounds. What's the trick on screwing in the tensioner?

Sorry my phone was bein gay
