3.5oz is how much it comes with from the factory.. its actually not good to overfill. You wouldnt add an extra 3 quarts to your engine would you? im sure you can physically do it.. but its not good!!

No fill level indicator was placed on the supercharger because it was never designed to be maintained/refilled by the user.
Exactly. When I completely drained my sc about 3.5 oz is all that came out. And thats all you should put back in. If you tried sucking the oil out but didnt take ANY out at all and then added 6 oz you now how 9.5 oz of oil in there.

Put too much in man. I did the same to mine and it started leaking. Put the proper amount in and voila, it stopped.

I didn't fill it up to the hole, but I didn't get the plug off - I just had the thing in pieces and REALLY drained it out (******* allen screws are too easy to strip). I thought someone said the official GM maintenance statement was 6oz, but I guess I'm wrong. Either way, I'm not leaking oil so I guess I'll consider myself lucky. I couldn't get the ******* screw off to drain oil out even if I wanted to, hahaha.

Oh Alpha - When I took mine apart and cleaned it out it quieted down noticeably. Say what you want but I don't feel I wasted my time at all.

So back on topic for the OP - how do you go about replacing the snout seal?

Did they say you abused it, or what? I would go back and tell them that *insert name here* informed you it would be no problem.

Well i ordered a snout seal and pulled the pulley off hoping to have my car running again this weekend, once its fixed im not touching crap, but i would like to drive back to the dealer and tell them i fixed the leak myself for about 30 bucks. They wanted $2600 to fix it, which meant new s/c gasket, labor and taxes.

Get them to price that out, I'm curious what the **** they're trying to charge you for. A whole new ******* engine is $3060 on CED. >_>
