I do agree that it is really nice to have a "back up plan" vehicle in case something breaks, or just so you can take your time on an install.

Engine wise, let it ride. I ran the TVS on small-ish pulleys with a ported head for 3 years and 25k miles (cams this year) and was not easy on the old girl by any means and it never let me down. Pulling that motor out to put in my DD for many miles to come...hopefully lol

thanks alex. its crazy. lol

ok so now im wondering about the valves. instead of supertechs i think im gonna go with stock replacements. gotta save mula where i can and i dont think there would be a huge gain to be made from 350 dollar valves. hell maybe instead of that i could get a 200 dollar 3 angle valve job done on the head and gain a metric **** ton there.

No need for valves as the others said.

If anything u can get new valve stem seals, but they are not a req either.

I'm not buying the cams (already have cams). Just getting the head.

Yes sir, a straight GMR car with 2 rare GMR parts (H62 & GMR head).

Don't go with stock replacements. Spend the money on Supertech's. The cams you bought like revs. And you ain't gonna be able to go much for high revs on stock spring's. Well you can, but it's a bad idea.

Yeah... you are going to need better valvesprings than stock to take advantage of the cams. also may want to consider an ATI or going up a pulley size. Though the 2.8 might be ok at 7500+
