you have many option's..
yeah, i suppose that would work...cuz im all for the most power i can get, but like i said, untill i get another daily i need this one to have a warranty....so i guess the point of this thread is...for 5000 bucks, what can i get as far as power, and still retain my factory warranty

here's a price list for ya
HPT pro new=600+ used=400+
pulley's+puller new=300+ used=250+
stage 2 belt new=50 used=not worth the cash
header/DP new=800+ used= not a good idea to buy used
catback new=500+ used=300+
lowering spring's new=200 used=140+
cross drilled rotor's new=300

the mod list i posted is SICK, and still under 4g's BRAND SPANKIN NEW and there's still a g left to play with if ya get a few used part's and save alittle cash.. you can do a dual endpass with option B and STILL have 500+ getting everything new..
survey says?!?!?!

wrong!

what makes you think you'd be out of a car?? Everything I have installed can be taken off before going to the dealership...not a big deal...

imho once you do ANY mod to a car a warranty is like a lock on a car, its only as good as the dealer looking at your car, and a criminal looking at your car lock, if they want to steal your car they will find a way, if the dealer wants to void your warranty they will find a way. i COMPLETLY understand wanting to keep your warranty for the peace of mind though. thats just my opinion. if that made any sense lol
your mod list looks pretty good though!

are you sure about this? cause ive seen it happen.. to a friend who HAD an RL.. and traded it in becuase he got his warrenty voided. for throwing on a 2.7 and 60's and a cobra HE then trying to take it in after going back to completely stock on a donated blower. and the ******* car still aint running right. dealer looked at LTFT and said it isnt right then looked at the black box info.. showing boost higher than 12.5 at 6.5+ rpm's with 100% throttle mean's he wasnt bieing easy on the car AND it was tuned since the VIN say's it's not a stage2 car.. please contine to think im wrong. cause you know everything RIGHT?

to the op. for 5k you can do so many mod's it's not even funny and still keep warrenty. spring swap's at the dealer. a rotor/brake pad swap yourself. a header and intake install yourself and they cant touch your warrenty. get HPT jus to be able to really see what's going on with YOUR car. cause then you can post log's and people here who know what's going on can tell you.

the balck box is used for car wreck info. the trims can be well within spec via 60's

i have had a tech 2 on my car by a gm tech lead. he didn't see anything out of the ordinary. trims were well within spec. the dealer does not have access to the black box.

hpt uses the vehicles vin numbers to lock the credits to the vehicle. two cars i have tuned personally have passed with flying colors at dealerships for warranty work, and being traded in.

never said a tech 2 was used. and if the dealer has a body shop and think's somthing is wrong they will send it there for all of the black box info cause it's running and recording ALL the time no matter what tune is on the car dont matter if it has crashed. i know about HPT and VIN's. but if the DEALER see's that there's no stage tune added on the balt's VIN and the black box say's above 6.5K RPM with 100% throttle and above 12.5 PSI they can do whatever the **** they want to your warrenty. cause it's proof of a atleast a pulley swap and tune. argue with me all you want ive seen this happen. the dealer tryed voiding my warrenty withonly a stage 2 car with part's ordered FROM my local saturn dealer.

well thats nifty to say the least. my dealer is cool as hell about stuff.

there is a lot of hidden stuff in the car no one knows about. a lot of it is in the hard coding of the ecm itself.

::shrugs::
