Through first gear the boost gague shows no boost being put out. 2nd and the rest of the gears it puts out great. any idea why, or is it just a gague issue? 2005...

any tuning done to it? boost reduction in first? some people want what u have lol better traction in first...also.. does it pull hard still? or does it feel sluggish in first? if it still pulls hard it may just be a freak gauge problem

 

I have minimal boost in 1st gear also!

 

TC's are tuned like that from the factory i beleive.

 

I was assuming that since the SS/SC had bad wheel hop and traction issues in 1st gear!

 

only an intake, but issue was there before. no noticeable significant lack of power through the gear, but the issue has been there since day 1 so there is nothing to compare it to.

the previous owner had attempted to switch software but it wasnt able to for some tech reason. told now it is 100% stock. any other ideas? thanks for the others

 

omg wtf hax!? my boost only goes up to 3lbs at the top of first gear. holy man my cars broken.

 

it only gives 50% of torque in first gear. They come from the factory that way. Like someone else said its 2 eliminate wheel hop. Re-tune or an aftermarket com. should cure it.

I've never ever hit boost in 1st gear. Pretty sure they are all limited to keep from hitting boost in 1st. Traction would be one reason. I'm just spit ballin here.

 

my car used to only hit about 10psi in 1st gear with stage 2/2.9, but one day it started boosting a full 16 psi in all gears, without any changes. boost limit is common in fwd cars to stop wheel hop in lower gears. iirc, the mazdaspeed 3 wont hit full boost till in 3rd gear.

 

I've got a 06 ss/sc and when i bought a new ecm it took it away. Burnout ftw
