Damn, guess I really should just wait for this kit to be done rather than jumping on the 2.2 kit. But I want to have my procharger sooooo bad! Glad to see the build is still going well.

But one thing for sure I think a 2.95 inch pulley is going to be too much. But I have it and we need to start somewhere.
Are you giving an estimated time of how long the engine is going to blow up with that psi on 9.5:1 compression?

About 5000 rpm or so untill I back out of it and order the right size pulley!

but you never know. It could hold together really well. If you have seen the video of the procharged v8s that speedmafia posted (or @ procharger.com) he made a lot more power due to how much softer the procharger was compared to th 8-71 blower. Also he did it with one carb and not two. So we should be able to make very good gain with this system and not have to worry about the motor so much.

18-19 psi should have him well over 300 HP considering it tops out at 24psi so he'd be pushing about 750CFM at 18 psi... thats more than enough for 300 HP actually that would probably put him around 450 or so i'm guessing... and like he said he even thinks 18-19 psi will be too much.. please play it safe chevy i don't want to see this thing pop right after you have it runnin

Thats ok if it does. I have another cobalt to back it up.

Then the prototype car can be built and we can see what that procharger can really do.

haha alright if you have a back up then F it go for broke.. that would be awesome then everyone will know how much it can handle... start low and tune then build it up till it pops but make sure it's tuned correctly so then people can get a better idea of the capabilities of these motors and maybe get a better idea of whats making them pop in the first place

FYI the 2.95" pulley was pushing 10psi at 4000rpm on my ride. i would have estimated it to go to about 15-16psi fully wrapped but who knows w/ that non-linear increase in boost pressure from the procharger.

Could you post up your dyno sheet for me?

EDIT : I'd like to make a request. When someone dyno's a procharger kit on the LSJ. Please dyno it from 1500-7000.

a) upgrade your valvetrain
b) get cams that will be efficient in that rpm range

I sure hope witt is running a turbo because only an idiot would use turbo cam specs on a supercharged car.

What kind of gains do you see for those cams.
