IMO it takes alot of work, time, and more money to really get to max 300whp on an m62.

It can be done for less then $2,000 if you spend your money in the right spots and get a good tune.

EXsoccer1921 08-19-2011 02:06 PM

on e85 yeah. but not everyone has access to it. 91..not so easy.

Am not sure about the spool time on that turbo but i say it has to be somewhere between 3500-4300rpms. Ive seen that turbo and its pretty big but that isnt too bad for spool time either. I can have almost full boost by 3200k but then am on a s20g which is also smaller but it deff gives a kick in the rear once you step on it :)

if i am not mistaken the s252 is smaller then the s256, the difference is the extended tip, correct?

BLAZIN07SS 08-20-2011 01:47 AM

the s252 is only extended tip, the s256 is available with or without extended tip

so the 252 and 256 numerical value has nothing to do with trim or wheel size?

BLAZIN07SS 08-20-2011 02:43 PM

Yes it does. The 252 is a 52mm turbo. The 256 is a 56mm

Frew 08-20-2011 02:48 PM

thanks for clearing that up josh

Mine did the same thing, but it was every time I turned right around 15 MPH. I just topped off my brake fluid and it stopped.

I need to request a couple of pictures. One of How the belt is ran after taking the blower off and another of the oil feed from the motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

same thing happened to mine at the beginning of summer and I had to get a new rear driver side caliper which fixed the problem. It was apparantly the caliper leaking brake fluid

i thought I had pics of these things but i do not. For the oil feed there are three oil galley plugs on the back side of the motor take your pic of any of those whichever works out better for your set up.

I have a pic of what NOT to do with your belt. Don't use an idler pulley in place of the SC mine lasted me like 2 weeks before it bent and spit a belt. I thought I had pics of my current set up but I do not.

EXsoccer1921 08-23-2011 01:45 PM

musta had a bad pulley then, cause i never had any problems with mine in my old setup. neither did stu

jonathan923 08-23-2011 02:15 PM

i think life is so much easier with a 2.4 tensioner and a 2.2 belt. you dont need that other extra pulley and stuff. ill try to take a pic of my setup tonight if theres still some light outside
