Let's talk valve springs. 75lb supertechs or 82lb ZZP? It seems odd that ZZP can get more lb out of a single coil spring? Opinions? I will be running ZZP's stage 2 cams on my new set up.

Grrr...Stupid storm stole my TVS money in replacing / repairing ****. So Nothing until end of December / January. Then I'll have the TVS. Already have the Meth kit =D. Should I do a 2.8 since I have meth? I mean I'll be happy w/ 300-310 but if I can safely get more I'll take it. Anyone have a TVS they are getting rid of arround that time? Set up is going to be
2.9 / 2.8 TVS
S3 H/E
Dual Pass
Phelonic (w/e) spacer
Meth
Full exhaust (already on the car)
**Edit** Only reving to 7K Not going to agressive on the revs.

I would atleast get 60lb injectors for a TVS set up. I see in your sig you have 50's. But if you are going to buy new injectors you'd might as well get 80's.
I planned on 80's. 50# came with the ZZP S2 kit. I have 42# sitting in my room. So I plan to sell both to pretty much pay off the cost of the 80#. I also considered if I move to move to E85 / E47 (some place that has it at more than one station) then I would need the 80#. Plan ahead this time.

I would go with supertech. Nothing against ZZP. Supertechs just been doing it for a long time and they have a great track record. Not worth skimping on in my opinion.
Also, Redline do you know how much power you're putting down?

Don't just look at the big bold letters.. Just because ZZP's are rated for 82lbs and supertechs are 75lbs, doesn't mean a whole lot. Pay attention to the specs. Look at where they coil bind, because that's really what matters. That's why you upgrade your valve springs, because your stockers will coil bind. Also, a little secret, compare all of supertech's springs that are compatible with our motor.. (75, 78, 94lbs, I believe it's those 3).. Check out their specs. You'll be surprised at what you learn.
You're welcome.
You're welcome.
Available materials.
That why I picked up a set of Supertechs to replaced zzp 82's for my next build. Not saying the zzp ones can't do what I want, I just know the Supertechs can.

I was told, by a reliable source, that the specs on the zzp springs aren't possible with currently

The Supertechs are just a better quality spring. Not saying ZZP's are bad, but the Supertechs have been around a long time, and have been tested/proven in some high horsepower SS/SC's (Time Attack, Area47, etc.).
I'm going to be running the 75lb Supertechs. I have them sitting waiting to be installed.
I'll prob make a how to.
Much appreciated. Here's the other attempt at another TVS thread that was mostly chatting but I think had some decient stuff. Didn't read through it again.

and for the majority of the ecotec owners that will not or are afraid to spin their engines anything more then stock is a waste of your time and not needed
