Official TVS Thread!!!
Hey guys, well I just got my TVS. I have 60's, OTTP Longtube cat-less, 2.5 exhaust, h/e, option b, dual pass, phelonic spacer, Injen intake. Anything else I should look at getting besides meth?

Haha uh oh I've stirred the pot here. Staged did a comparison from his Injen CAI to a stock airbox with airbox mod and the stock airbox flowed more. Might as well run the stocker.
Edit: Found his results in a recient thread
I've compared a few of my intakes to my stock donaldson intake and modified airbox, but not on the dyno. I compared by MAF flow levels.
For comparrison (from a log I remember):
My Injen intake flowed: 33.05 lbs/min max (75* ambient temp)
My stock intake/modded airbox flowed: 35.03 lbs/min max (75* ambient temp)
I never tested my old Rebel 3" intake, because at the time I did not own any logging software, but I never felt a difference between any of my intakes other than changing back to the stock tubing with a k&n and modified box.

Looking forward to your times esp with the new slick setup. Make sure your limiter is above 7500 or else u can't cross the trap in third. You have the head to run an 8k limit though. I may be grabbing cams, valve springs and porting the head to compliment my 2.6 and E85 so itll be a good year for sure

The LSJ has a free flowing intake right from the factory.
Just replace the paper filter with a high flow unit, and you're set.
The TVS has a lot of potential, and if you want to stay supercharged it is a great alternative for making good power. If I didn't have the H62, I would have a TVS for damn sure.
There are a lot of smart guys on here with the TVS that can help lead you in the right direction.
Yep. Same here.

I've noticed g/cyl tends to drop in the upper Rpm range as airflow increases post a 2.8 pulley on the m62.
3" intake eliminated that
just babbling

I also have a 2.9 I'd be willing to sell.. But talk to TylerJclance first, I know he has one, and he was mentioned first.. Not trying to take money from him by making you buy mine.. talk to him and work something out.. if all else fails, hit me up
After some more thought, I emailed ZZP about making a 2.5" cat-back for the RL. They said their new 2.5" 3 chambered Muffler will not fit on a RL. I really don't understand why but that is what they said. I asked about having them make me a custom one and they were hesitant at first. But the next day, they said they could make me a 2.5" cat-back with their new big *ss resonator and a Magnaflow muffler for $450. So I pulled the trigger.
I am not a fan of magnaflow products. That is pretty clear in this post. But I will be happy if the muffler last for a year. Then I can replace it with a SW one. Either way, I now have a reasonably priced cat-back that I can bolt-on and I know it will fit great. ZZP has to custom build the cat-back so I am sure it will be a week or two before it gets delivered. No biggie.
There are already a couple of clips of the ZZP 2.5" cat-back on Cobalts on this forum. I have been satisfied with the way they sound so far...
So after YEARS of experimenting with different exhaust systems I have put my faith in ZZP.

Thoughts? Comments?

Bought Second TVS
ZZP LT Header, Cat'd with 2.5" outlet, Stock LSJ cat-back. Same as above. This is where I am at right now.
~Lesson Learned. There are more restrictions with this cat-back when paired with the TVS. On a 2.9" pulley with my first TVS and my CTI 3" setup I would see max boost right around 20.5psi. Now I will hit 22psi.
