Bored, so Ill post the cell phone pics I have of of my freshly painted goods. Need to get some pics when the engine bay isnt dirty and when I take the car outside in the sun. The VC and intake are pearl white with gold boat flake and red pearl in the clear (just look white in the pics) and the coil pack cover is gray from a 2007 Toyota Solara, close to the TVS color.

even with a snail it needs to be closed now if you were running a dry sump that would be different

The reasons are out there. I'm not gonna get into the how and why. Powell has covered it multiple times along with others. Long story short, you need vac on the crankcase. Which only comes from a closed system.

Never even thought about this. How much is it and how hard to implement?

Got my car tuned today ran into a problem with a idling
Hits 156temp and stalls, reflash and don't turn it off no problems
After it stalls on a warm restart it, runs choppy and sounds like its missing but no misfires and fuel trims go to zero and it runs full lean

Go do a pull after a fresh reflash, sold afr to 8k

No they don't. Scan from a cold start. Stft is zero ltft is not. "Learned" trims are there in ol too.

However, his trims may be going to zero in ol since this is happening after a fresh tune and it hasn't hat time to learn yet.

Drove for 40mins car idled fine small surge
Then next stop light went full lean and had a missing idle with no misfires being logged

What Injectors and where did you get the settings? Is this happening with new mods or just a new tune?

I"ve got to do some digging, car is still commanding correct afr at idle. Infe's car does a similiar thing occasionally, but his will only do it for a few seconds and go back to normal. Never got a chance to figure it out since he decided to do a built motor and the cars been sitting for 7 months waiting on the machine shop.
This car goes into that, and just stays there. after a flash, car runs perfect, idles right were it should, fuel trims are a little bit more than I like to leave it (-12.1 at idle) but we were working on wot and cruising first. Shut car off, restart and its fine. Shut off and leave for a while, idles lean off the scale and you can't move the car. Finally something that has me stumped.
When I did the base tune on it, it was a complete cold start up. Let the car idle for about 30 minutes and it was fine. nothing is out of the ordinary in any of the ol tables around the temps where it starts doing that. oh and these are the only 2 cars I"ve ever run into this with both on zzp stage II cams (and thats with tuning 200+ cobalts)

Gunna look the car over today, change my o2 sensor and pull the battery and see how she acts from a dead cold start , Did 3 fuel trim resets lastnight at first that would make the car idle then the second reset didn't do anything

My brain hurts lol

Paul I'm seein the same issue while tuning rcorona8's car on zzp stg II cams

Everything works perfect
It randomly enters open loop at idle and goes rich.
Get back into part throttle/cruise and it goes back into closed loop.

Yeah my car used to do that random ol rich idle with the 272s but it was very random. This car just goes dumb lean but doesnt come out of it for some reason.
