hmm i see i am planing on getting piston as soon as possible.. but if i up the compression i can run less boost yet still get the same yeild correct?.. btw what is the stock compression of the pistons?..... and with the pistons (and probly rods while im in there) what could possibly be a safe area of whp?.. 350- 375?.. j/w

Actually the second you push over 300whp you are no longer "safe". If you manage to put down 350~375whp, you will be making over a 75% increase over stock power. Your clutch will go, your axles will go, your transmission will most likely go, depending on boost your head gasket will go, studs will go. Lot of stuff to upgrade to handle that power.

And a turbo is really a bigger heat pump then the M-62 (unless your overspinning the thing constantly!).

from what i understand these motars can handle 330whp+... but no the pistons ... i was told to forge my stuff b4 i go below a 2.8 pully... Cameron would know.. hes the one who blew his piston rings... hes got somthing in the making though

yes i know the pistons blow on this car... i know!... but the turbo being a bigger heat pump is not tru at all i was going to run a 2.6 an i would have to buy every possible cooling mod there is to keep the IAT down.. with the turbo the fmic takes car of it a good bit an the intercooler sprayer will help evenmore... an i am building a bit but if u hit 300 whp your not going to all the sudden blowup everything on your car.. ppl have had there stock clutches last them that long axels have been fine.. head gaskets studs the whole thing have been fine.. but im changing the pistons anyway an with that comes rods, head studs, main studs, an cometic head gasket..

um, heat is what kills motors.

We were talking that 350~375whp he is shooting for. As for the heat pump comment, with a 2.6 you are over spinning your supercharger.

ehh some people argue that you only over spin the supercarger for a split second uptop with the 2.6.. idk idc i never put mine on.. im going turbo now lol.. and yes i know what you guys are tlking about going over 350whp pistons are a must.. nothing else is realllly needed.. but when u put pistons in why not do the rods head and main studs an a head gasket.. just makes sence lol

Just remember one thing with a roots super charger. Take two SS/SC with the same size pulley at the same place and time, the one with the lower PSI will be making more power over 90% of the time.
