I am considering getting rid of my stock intercooler filler neck and replacing it with the option b kit. At the moment, I am stock engine wise, that will be changing soon though. I know that going with option b is a good idea for any supporting modifications, but at the moment I just want to do things that will give the most bang for the buck. I doubt there is going to be any seats of the pants feeling to show an increase in power at all, but have any of you all did a comparison in IATs from the stock fill neck and then with option B? I am curious to see what kind of difference on average to expect

 

That mainly helps with bleeding the system. For that amount of money you can do a dual pass and it will help tons more!

 

I've had opt b on my car for over 3 years now. Works great!

Like G11 said, it is for bleeding the system of air.

This is beneficial to a cooling system, because air bubbles will trap unwanted heat.

You will not see any gain in power from cooling mods. They are there to maintain the power by reducing the chance of timing being pulled due to high IAT2 temps.

 

if u want bang for ur buck to make some power id do a muffler and a downpipe.

This is a YES and NO. Yes it will technically make your IATs lower because of a lack of air pockets. It will probably only lower you by 1-3 degree's. If you really need to lower your IATs get Duel pass, Phelonic (w/e) spacer, or an upgraded H/E. If you want power. Downpipe/header/Exhaust would be your best bet. Heck even a retune on stock would make it a little faster.
