Option B Tank alternative?
Option B Tank alternative?
I called my dealer to get a price on the redline's surge tank..$80 bucks. Theres no way I'm going to pay that for a plastic tank. Have any of you used a tank off another car or could I just run to autozone and get a generic tank that will fit? Bleeding the option A is IMPOSSIBLE. I've had the pump hot wired forever now. I've been sitting there watching and hearing the air bubbles fly past the little T overflow...sigh
Could I not temporarily remove the T and have its entry dump into a bucket with the outlet side submerged in the bucket at the bottom? Would that not have the same effect?

i picked up a nice aluminum surge tank from summit racing for $50, it uses a standard rad cap you can find for $8 anywere. its 3" round, 6" long and has the fittings i need. the nice thing is it will fit on the rad support infront of the blower right were the stock water neck sits.
I spent 30 bucks making mine. Go to Autozone and buy a cheap generic tank.
btw, didn't mean to step on your toes stu.
