Performance chip on eBay..

This is terrible. $19.99 for a "so-called" performance chip that will give you a gain of about 25hp... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33597

I bet the person is selling them though.

You can make one of thoes with parts from radio shack. It just bypasses the actual mass air censor reading and forces it to read a fixed setting which tells the car to adjust the air/fuel ratio.

Basically it tricks the car into thinking it's taking in 32deg air.

This probably won't give you anymore than 1-2 hp and is a very very bad idea with forced induction cars.

The good ole IAT sensor trick, huh. If anything it'll hurt performance on those hot days, but I highly doubt it'll help at all.

Yeah, some people just sell you a resistor in an envelope and call it a performance chip. People do actually buy them though.

I did some experimenting with that on my old S-10 blazer with the Vortec V-6. It made about a .05 or so difference in ET, and no difference in Trap speed.

I don't think a .05 would count due to all the variables unless you are running consistant times to the 100th of a second.

They have no disclaimer so they are open to be sued. If you can find them that is.

Edit: lol I just noticed they want $7 to ship it.

8 years of computer network experience, 4 certifcations and 1 degree later... i'm sure i could muster up something

paypal of course is very traceable, but to find out where the dude is yourself, you could do the easiest thing to get his ip which would be to host some files on your website that are hidden and no one else can access, and send the dude an html email linking to those files. when he opens his email and see the pictures or whatever (without d/l anything) just gotta run through the logs and viola you got his ip. then the fun part begins

or i could just not be an idiot and buy that crap lol
