Pluging Boost Bypass with higher Boosts

I had read that alot of people had plugged there boost bypass hose but I thought that was before STG2 & all the smaller pulleys so my question is?

Do you still plug your Bypass hose while running smaller pulleys & STG2 & if so just where in the RPM's does this help you ???

You don't ever have to plug your bypass hose. every one says that the stock PCM leaks out boost at a sertin RPM. This is a LIE, I intalled my pulley before changing the PCM and it never leaked any boost.

wo what do you mean, youl run more boost with out doing the mod and leaving it stock. or you run more boost when you do the boost bypass mod and unplug it and then plug it with a screw/devise to plug it..........

Here is a how to on what we are talking about & it was posted awhile back asI never did it in fear of something screwing up but now with the higher boosts I was just wondering if alot of people still do it ??

I think this boost bypass is worthless only because I have GM Stage 2 and I took my car to the dyno a little while back. While the tech was making the runs on the dyno I watched the boost gauge to make sure everything was good. I hit 15.5psi all three runs with no boost leaking. The needle was extremely steady. So I don't think this boost bypass mod is worth doing. I don't know about the smaller pulleys like the 2.8's to the 2.5's though.

I have read in published books about superchargers and the section that talked about Eaton/Roots style blowers talked about the boost controler. Basically your not allowing the air to cool off in the blower you will eventually destroy the blower. The valve is there to keep you from abusing the blower. The Bypass does get you more PSI but less efficient. With prolonged driving or track use with the bypass in place you will continue to overheat the supercharger. Your PSI will still be up there but with the HOT intake air you will produce less HP. The stock configuration from GM is 100% boost through every gear.
