Porting your blower

Has anyone found or is going to get their SC ported???? I wonder what kind of gains would be seen for OUR cars. I know that onesite does it bt I wonder with a CAI ,stage 2, and a ported blower, what kind of gains we would be looking at.

I've heard it would only give us about 10 to 15 hp on a totally stock engine. But with those mods, maybe 25-30. Who knows. The only way to find out is if someone does it and dynos it.

Where in NJ are you by the way?

Yeah well for the average costs of 400-500 bux I don't think that is a lot. Besides, if you don't live close to a place that does it, expect not to drive your car for at least a week.

Porting your blower is only for the person who is squeezing every ounce of hp out of the car. It's too much money for what you get (on a stock car, however it would be a lot more if your car was already modified) I'm not going to get it done. About 300 whp is good enough for me. Hell the stage 2 kits that GM should be coming out with + my 2.8" pulley with exhaust and intake will be enough. That's where I'm stopping.

I know the 03-04 cobra guys get some good gains with the porting. However they have the bigger supercharger so we wouldn't see as much gain as them. But from what I've heard, 10-15 hp max out of a stock engine for us. This has been discussed before. Use the search button and you will find the threads.

See if we had gains like that, i'd be the first one to do it. I truly belive the cobras respond the best to mods out of any other car on the market. Just look at that get the stage 5 to add 60 whp. Than add a 2.8 or 2.7 inch pulley to it and you've got almost 100 whp for about 850 dollars. That's sweet. The 03-04 cobra is one of my dream cars.

well also you have to think of the gains from putting on a cat back...they range from 400-800 and they give you about the same gain, i dont think its needed yet but for the person looking for every possible ounce of power it will do it...you figure the intense is putting out 260-270...port the blower and you have 270-285..that much closer to 300

I have a intake and SC at steig right now and they are blueprinting everything so the turn around is two day. This required them to keep my spare SC for six weeks to fully set up... I should get it back very soon and be able to start dyno #'s.
