i used it in my old ss/sc and it was good but i found it makes the engine noticably louder where it is almost like water, so in this car i stuck with mobil 1....and i love it

i use Redline Synthetic 5W30 in my 370z. Did my first oil change at 3500km, engine is quieter and oil temps are abit lower. Its suppose to be better then royal purple

FIXED

I run Mobil 1. Only because thats what the previous owner ran, and I've never had an issue with it. The average consumer is not going to tell a difference between oils. Just sayin

You can look up actual tests.. theres one posted on this forum out of a mag with pictures..

royal puple had THE BEST results... basically they used the oil on a bearing that had pressure on it and the results displayed the sized of the gouge made, its deepness, length.. width.. how well the oil layered itself over the parts and how well it broke down..

royal purple and 1 other oil did MUCH better than mobil 1 and some of the other oils had no chance to even come close..

that can be blamed on several different things... such as metal hardness and material

The same part was tested.. i guess there are flaws in any test if you wanna get really technical.. but its still a good reference..

I might consider running RP now then. I'll get some time tonight to research this.

Castrol Edge =]...lol
Ive used royal purple didnt see any diffrence, althogh maybe i wasnt looking hard enough for it.
Switched to Castrol Syntec, Made my motor quiet up a bit. Now im useing Castrol Edge and it seems better then both RP and Castrol Syntec...Oh and Moble 1..shitty oil and way over priced.

I'm doing RP 5w-30 this change.

So far, I HATE it. Talk about engine noise, geez. It sounds like its going to tear itself apart.

I'm going back to German Castrol next change...
