Reacts like turbo lag in 3rd?
thats another good thought...
but the power surges, if the cat was clogged id think it would be a powerloss overall...
with this problem, youll be flooring it, the car would feel like 230 hp, then it just surges and its like its a 200 hp car, then a second later, boom, like a nos button.

yeah i called a gm shop and told em the code...
and i mentioned maybe a bad cat, and he told me no..i would get a different code...
if i had a vacuum leak my boost guage would flutter...or I would not be idling @ 20vac steady correct?
if i decide to get new plugs today what ones should i get? and what gap?

well... i wouldnt spend the extra 20 bucks on the ngk... jsut get the autolite (model 3923) and they are 7 bucks for ALL 4!...
I would get new plugs no matter what... even if that isnt the problem, they need to be changed.
im not sure on the gapping.... i just used what was outta box and no problems.

I know my car HATES NGK copper plugs, but LOVES the Iridiums... When I put the 1 step colder copper's in it it "surges" kinda like he is suggesting under WOT...
Def try some plugs first... NGK copper's are only about $10 and Iridiums are about $30, even at Advance Auto, who usually stocks them...

got rid of the p0171
It was the filter the previous owner had installed....scepter or whatever that the auto place carries...replaced with a aem dry flow I had and that fixed that problem...cleaned the tb and sensors and the other issues are still present..

yeah i cleaned the tb, that sure didn't help anything lol
whats the best way to tell if the cat is clogged?
I wonder if it could be the down stream 02, because it wasn't listed that it was replaced when the cat was...and if they ran very long on a bad cat, it would make the rear 02 go bad, correct?

changing the spark plugs would be a good/cheap thing to do to cross that off the list. O2 sensors are expensive so i suggest checking the other stuff first.
