The RPM and AFR was cut off of the stock dyno because everyone already knows how rich it runs stock.

Both runs were done to 6500 to keep the results more comparable. Yes we could have run to 7000 but then there would be people bitching because we didnt use the same RPM.

The stock run ran well below 10 afr on the tail pipe sniffer thats why there is such a loss in power in the mid 5000's. After the mods the AFR came up to around 10.8 buy the top end but was running to lean until around 5000 so the afr was tuned because you dont do such extensive mods and not tune for it. Theh owner drives this car hard and we dont need it blowing up on him.

We have a head ready to be shipped to the machine shop so if you buy one you will have the new head sent to you and then you will send back your old for a core exchange. So it can be done in as little as 2 days. It could be done on a weekend if you are good to do it your self but I would not recomend this for a novice. A good shop could probly do it in 1 day.

the test were on the exact same dyno, same SAE corrections.

Yes the HP numbers are spikes both stock and ported. I'll see if I can get a graph from the dyno overlaying both runs. The difference throughout the entire power is significant.

The only tuning we did was to account for the increase in air flow. Just fixed the air/fuel.

If you don't think our stock numbers were good, take a look at the GM Stage 2 sheet posted in the first post. Still 30WHP on top of GMS2. Every GMS2 we dyno'd ran those numbers +/- a few HP.

Flow Numbers:

haha, you are looking at that chart wrong. It's a little over 40cfm increase intake and a little over 50cfm increase exhaust.

Still a lot though. But not over 100.

and better flow numbers dont neccessarily lead to more power/torque but the exhaust port is the cork in this motor...

QFTT, I'm doing a mild port/polish to my head when I add all my new mods. Also porting the stock intake manifold. Stock exhaust ports are tiny though.

so how many would be interested if we run a group buy on the head and beat up on our supplier for a really low price.

GMPP has some heads with exhaust ported...700 bucks

Would have to be just the assembled (possibly unassembled) head for me to be interested. Don't need the exhaust, don't need the t/s.

IE
CNC port intake, exhaust and chambers
Diamond honed guides, valve job and deck skim
SI Valves Intake Valve - GM Ecotec - 36.1mm (+1mm)
SI Valves Exhaust Valve - GM Ecotec - 31.1mm (+1mm)
Ferrea GM Ecotec Titanium Retainer - use with S10057 valve spring
Ferrea GM Ecotec Dual Valvespring - 75lb on seat, 14mm max lift
GM Valve Seal - GM Ecotec
Head studs
Cosmetic Head Gasket

Even then...it's still may be cost prohibitive for me.
