Just got my OTTP Stage1 axels and was wondering on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the hardest)how hard they are to install?Thanks

ez you need tools, esp., big 36mm/ socket or so for axle nut etc...pita if they are seized or twisted in the trans or intermediate shaft. good luck

 

shouldnt be 36 john. i believe its 32

 

take the axle nut off take the 2 bolts holding the strut to the knuckle out slide the axle out of the bearing pull it out of the tranny like you were pulling out of your girlfriend to blow a nut in her face slide the new back in bolt everything up dun

GO RENT A SLIDE HAMMER AND FWD AXLE PULLER ATTACHMENT. i promise you will thank me.

Taking the intermediate shaft off the pass axle is the only hardest part. Don't forget new trans fluid. Gets messy

 

you dont mess with the IS when replacing axles. and its not hard to get out unless you **** it up like i did

 

Mine was a BIIOOOTCH!! and got seized on the axle. I had to take it out and use a lil persuasion. Had some rust to clean out from it too.

 

yeah its simple as hell. only takes me about 10 mins to change one out now. lol

i really need to make a new video of it and have someone actually hold the camera for me.

Do you have to have both wheels off the ground when removing the axels?

I got it,just had to go down to the store and buy some elbow grease to pull it out.
