I'm about to order a 2.7" from Billet flow and would rather not change the idler pulley

I did search and I know the part# is 12597993. It's just that everyone keeps saying that they are on indefinite back order. I called my local dealer and they say they can get them, so I guess I will try and special order it.

Can I run the 2.7" from Billetflow without changing the idler pulley if I run the shorter belt?

get an adjustable tensioner... trust me your belt will stretch from the heat from the blower snout and you'll get crazy high rpm slippage.... I just got mine in from gm parts direct... took about three weeks though.

Talked to Doug at Billetflow and it looks like I am going to try the 2.7" with the shorter belt and 76mm idler pulley. He is sending me the 70mm and the 76mm in case the 76mm is too big. I'll keep everyone posted!

I am definately getting the belt if it is available, however, it is for a 3" pulley so I am just trying to figure out which idler to go with - the 70mm or the 76mm?? Doug said that if you only did the idler pulley you would need more than you have room to go like 86mm - so he said use the shorter belt and the new idler to ensure little to no slippage
