some CEL codes
some CEL codes
p0420-catalyt efficiency low-bank 1
p0452-fuel tank pressure sensor condition
p0463-fuel level sending unit condition
p0171-fuel trim bank one condition
p2228-barometric pressure (BARO) sensor curcuit low voltage
i have all these codes popping up?
i recently changed the fuel pump cause of the GM recall.
my performance is fine except im wasting more gas than usual and my car vibrates sometimes when im at high speeds
what could it be? cause it cant be all those things at once i dont think..

your 0420 code is for exhaust...its not bank 1, its for the second O2 sensor after the cat...usually comes on with modified exhaust... it means that your emissions aren't as clean as it should be. get a non-fouler or "L" spacer and you'll get rid of it.
other than that,, i dont know
other than that,, i dont know
I see a story....
something is wrong with the fuel system. dont know what the root cause is
but the fuel trim code + you saying gas mileage sucks sounds like its running rich. take a spark plug out and if its black and goo-ie this confirms richness.
cars that run rich dont burn all their fuel by definition. so it goes on out the exhaust and coats the catalytic converter with a nasty mixture of unspent hydrocarbons and carbon (just like the spark plug). At best...thats it. and thats why ur throwing the cat code.
At worst...you had a slight misfire at some point (possibly from the richness) that ignited the unspent hydrocarbons on the cat and blew it to smithereens (spelling?)
I've seen it before.....
also when a sensor circuit is "too low" 50% of the time that means the sensor is dead. MAF cars dont really use baro pressure for any tuning decisions tho. just emissions systems like EGR, PCV, and Evap canister controls
now that i type it out and think about it I think i get it.....I think the new guy put ur pump in and fucked up the whole in-tank assembly whilst doing it.

Vibration at high speeds typically are caused by a tire being out of balance.
Also correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't P0171 the LEAN code and not the Rich one?
