what could this mean ? the AEM intake jacked ? anyone else experience this ?
It's normal. The car will do it stock if you try. Stop worrying...lol.

Install performance filter + remove bottom of air box = saving $$. CAI's on this car are over rated. Spend your money on parts that will actually do something.

I own a 2005 and used to have the Fujita CAI... I loved it to death from the gains and sound but fitment was a nightmare for me... however I sold it to alleycat and she had no problems with fitment..(I think she didnt use a certain part) .. but if you think you can have luck with fitment id deff go for it...good cai

From What Ive Heard And Talked With People. The Aem Dryflow Intake Seems To Be The Best Choice, Considerably Because It Does Not Create Lean Conditions. [proven]

We still seem to sell a lot of injen intakes, seems to be the most wanted. They are only 218.99 and free shipping to the lower 48 states. Black and polished colors are in stock.

K&N on the 2.0 use to have CEL issues, have notheard any recent issues. AEM on the 2.0 also occasionally comes up a CEL on SOME cars. INJEN IMO has had the least, if any, most of the time it is installation error.

For a full replacement INJEN intake for $218.99 shipped, is the cheapest. AEM is only partial replacement and it is only about $25 cheaper.

To answer your question, my Injen never threw a code. I only had it on a few days though. If I were to rate the injen I would rate it very good. Best intake I ever installed on any car. The gains were very impressive and damn does that sound awesome!

does anyone have a few thousand miles with their CAI and not have a cel. I know this won't the same for every car but I think the best way to find out is the see who has the most amount of miles with their CAI and who had the fewest # of cel's.

maybe we can make a poll or something to help determine which intake is better for the ss/sc

I know for a fact the injen does not throw codes. You have to install it correctly. I custum fit mine. Went very well. There is a sharp edge behind the headlight that will damage the intake. Even if you have a second gen. I cut a rubber hode in half and mounted it perfectly so the intake will not move at all. Like I said before, I grade the injen at A++. I'm sure the K&N and Fujita or w/e are also very nice intakes. The big bad Fujita seems like it would sound the best though because of its size.

330 for a metal pipe and filter? I'm not quite understanding why the pricing is so high on these intakes, theres not very much to them, I mean really whats the difference in me just going to pep boys and getting the plastic pipe sections and bends to make my own intake prob for under 50 bucks, wheres the difference here?

I have a K & N CAI and I do not throw codes. I have had it one for a while now, probably 2000 miles and its OK.

I have the K&N and had no fitment or CEL issues... I liked it better because it is one piece... no troublesom extra bandclamps or silcone connectors to worry about!
