majority of people that know what they're doing do it this way. I think the difference is the stage 2 comes with bigger injectors, so you can't go too small of a pully with the stock injectors.

(TRABSAM197781) I bought the GM Stage 1 kit first then later on bought the GM Stage 1 to Stage 2 upgrade kit. GM Stage 1 comes with 42 lb/hr injectors and the tune. Most people don't realize that the only diff. between Stage 1 & Stage 2 is the Pulley. Same exact tune .... same exact injectors.

yea its completely possible...

the only thing your going to notice is a small power gain from the pulley when u put it on... other than that, the tune will give you a little bit of power till the pulley is put on.

no you dont have to return anything....

you just... install the pulley...

Same injectors.

I bought stage one then a used hub ,stg2 pulley and a new belt. In the stage instructions it says when installing the stage 1 to 2 upgrade that if you havent yet installed stage 1 then you need to have the stage 1 tune in order to install the stage 1 to 2 upgrade. The instructions make it clear that there is only one tune

Like what RUKKEE said .... There is only 1 tune with the GM Stage kits (except for GM Stage 3). There is no such thing as a GM Stage 2 "tune". If you have GM Stage 1 you can drop down to the Stage 2 pulley or Stage 3 pulley with no problems. That's what I did.

I have GMPP STAGE 1 kit.... the injectors are the same as the STAGE 2 injectors (60lbs), just no pulley and belt... as far as tune????? I dunno

I have a custom tune now and can run w/ STAGE 2 cars ..... no problem
