Strange Hesistation when Fuel Tank Below Half Full on LSJ

Hi guys,
I installed a 2.8" pulley kit, with FMHE to support the heat, my mods are in my sig.

However, before I installed the kit, I noticed one time when I went to redline (stock LSJ setup) that the car hesitated around 6K RPM. This only happened once before I installed my 2.8" kit.

Now, after installing the kit I immediately noticed the same hesitation as before but now it was occuring MUCH more frequently and I noticed it occured ONLY when the fuel tank is below half full...

I immediately changed my spark plugs and re-did the fuel filter, this didn't seem to affect my problem as when the car drops below half a tank of fuel, it hesistates!

What possibly could be causing this? Keep in mind the car pulls like a freight train with a full tank, it's only when the car gets to half a tank or so that it has hesistation issues above 4K.

THANKS!!

Just a laymen's shot in the dark guess there's different levels of pressure in the gas tank with different levels of gas and when it gets below half the difference in the pressure is the problem. Maybe

That was exactly my thought as well. If the tank is full, it'd be easier for the pump to do its job, once the tank empties, the pump has to work harder to push the fluid due to less pressure.

Is this science, I'm not certain. However, this would signify that I need a new fuel pump I assume. If that's the case I'm pretty surprised as the car only has 77,000 KM on it.

Thoughts?

Wouldn't be a bad idea to change fuel filter first and see

Watch the wideband. Does it go lean when this happens?
