Also, the LSJ and LE5 have difference reluctor wheels. You will need to swap the wheel from the LSJ crank to the LE5 crank.
Hmm they were tellin me all i would need is a modfied flywheel and to clock it on the crank corectly

The block cracks wen larger studs r installed cuz they dont get installed right...u cant just drill out the hole with a hand drill. Each hole has to be dialed in on a mill to ensure perfict center other wise u end up with a side load on the studs that were the cracks form.
correct you are even when done properly the block still cracks because there isent enough meat to support a 1/2in stud that is another reason gm went with the uni bolt studded blocks

Not a bad idea. Are you having them build the complete engine?

does anybody have more details/pics of the girdle process?

I saw the pics from the board member who bought one from ZZP, it appears the process ends at least, with welding the deck closed and milling the deck.

does anybody know what it looks like under the deck?

I'm assuming there's a press fit ring that goes into the water jacket?

Some people believe they machine a plate to the exact size down to the thousands of an inch and press it into the block.

Some people believe they fill the block.

This is a common way people fill blocks.

diy filled b series block, with writeup, comments welcome - Honda-Tech

Only ZZP knows...

they cnc cut the top of the block open to match the cnc cut plate that fits in the top of the block then it is tig welded together and then decked to a higher finish standard then gm requires
