very nice build thus far.

I have my own build going on as soon as I get my block back from mrb. Does the rotating assembly have to be balanced on a stock crank stock lsj rods and a diamond pistons if all are within a gram or two?

I definitely agree with belvedere on either getting neutral balance shafts or getting the balance shaft delete kit. I opted for the balance shaft delete on my car and it was well worth the money IMO.

I'd also invest in the gmpp/bates oil pump gears and ati dampner. I got my gears from allecotec.com and my dampner straight from ati, both worth the money when building an engine like this plus it's just a good piece of mind and added insurance on both said items.

all i did on my first build was balance the weights of the pistons and rods.

the thing to remember even if he does hit around 400 its going to be all power under a very nice tq hp curve. It will feel like a 450 hp car is my bet. I wish i had stayed with my m62 sometimes.
