Dan at clear image was caught lying about ZZP products and it turned into a 15 page bitch fest in the LNF section so 1 of your 3 is busted.
you didn't answer the question about what any of them have released for the community. I'm not saying they haven't, just asking if they have developed new products in the last year.

I've heard that I'm destroying ZZP, that we'll be out of business by fall, that we're on the verge of bankruptcy, that no one will buy from us, and that all I do is hurt our business. Yet last time I checked we were still growing, our market share here increasing, and our recently released/soon to be release product line is larger than any other company in this market. Strange, wouldn't you say for a company I'm running into the ground?

 

obviously a lot of people dont care that you act like an arogent jackass and buy your products. there are also people that wont buy your products because of it (me being one of them). now you have a buisness thats growing, it would grow faster if you changed your attitude as people that wont buy from you now might in the future.

 

So now you know how to grow my business faster? I was good enough to build it from nothing with no money into what it is today and now other people are ready to take over because they can do a better job? Does that really make sense? Do we all know better than Obama how to run the country? Now if we could just get elected...


My personality rubs a lot of people the wrong way but brings in just as many customers. Many people let me know that they like doing business with me because I'm a no bullshit guy. They know I tell the truth and that we don't use inflated numbers or gimicks to sell products. the 'trust' level of our repeat customers is unmatched in the industry. when I release the single pass effeciency number, no one will have to wonder if I'm lying abou it. That's why ZZP has so many customers. I'm sorry this doesn't match your personality and you'll buy mods elsewhere. Many share your view but many change their minds when they want to go fast and understand that I'm not a bad guy.

 

I dont think you are destroying anything or running the business into the ground, but that doesnt mean that you arent chasing away sum potential customers or potentially costing yourself some sales. I have spent my hard earned money on your parts, but I will reconsider my choices when I purchase parts in the future.

And yes if you do treat every customer like you have treated a few people around here then yes you will eventually hurt your business substantially.


I think a rock from my front yard could run this country better than he is, but I dont wanna turn this into a political discussion, and I really thought my teacher from high school could run this country way better, I voted for him, it was a write in vote.

im not saying i know how to run your buisness better than you, but i know if i treated people like you do my shop would be losing a lot of potential customers. in fact, because we are willing to work with people, treat people with respect, have a no bs attitude and not say that out competitors stuff is crap, we have been able to take a lot of work from one of the biggest diesel performance shops in the northwest. they started as a small operation and worked hard to build their buisness and became very successful. they eventually took on a very arogent attitude and started treating potential customers badly and directly slamming other peoples products (such as the diesel performance transmissions my shop builds) and abilities. it worked for them for a while but as my shops customer base grows theirs is shrinking.

i dunno i guess i look at it different because if i **** somebody off i could lose a $3-4k job, not just a couple hundred in parts

 

wow...loads of drama, well i decided to just stick with my dual pass and leave it at that, im only running a 3.00" pulley so it should be more than enough for it, along with my china core h/e.

 

I used this example because the psychology of humans is funny. They always think they can do something better than someone else but they never get the chance to. It's humorous to me to see people rise to the top and then have a bunch of people say they don't know what they're doing. I'm thinking 'you're a nobody and are not at the top, telling someone who got there that you are smarter/better than them' Obama was an easy example but pick anyone. CEO's, political leaders, etc. All humans seem to have this issue no matter what we're talking about.

I'm the same guy I was 10 years ago, ZZP runs the same. What some people fail to grasp is that comparing two products is detrimental to your business if you lie, not if you are actually telling the truth. In your case, if your transmission was inferior and that company bashed you, they wouldn't be losing sales. Initially they may, but when people find out you don't BS about things it becomes powerful. Every time people here call me out and get proven wrong, there are XXX amount of people who won't doubt ZZP the next time. Eventually you can come out with things and say things w/o being questioned at all. You can keep that image so long as you don't abuse it.
