Driving home, i shift from 2nd to 3rd and I hear a small noise, all the sudden I hear a loud whining coming from the motor. Get home, thinking its the clutch because you give it gas, it revs up in gear. Well look under my car and there is tranny fluid everywhere... I can't find the hole. It right by the passenger axle where it goes into the tranny. Its still connected though. You think the tranny is gone, or the axle?

The axles don't have trans fluid in them. Axles only have grease/lube in them (I think). You had to have cracked the trans case somehow, it's probably a really small crack where it's seaping out.

Pulling an axle is easy. You will leak tranny fluid so you better have it available because not all Gm dealerships have it in stock.
