No knock.. It picks up about 2* of KR if i run 26* past 6500 rpm so i bring it down a bit on top

 

oh ok..nice..yea im going to see how far i can go with out knock..

 

really no point on going past 25 degrees of timing with the stock lsj cams, they just dont support power past that much advancement

 

oh i see..well thx alot guys for the input..im running 21 degrees of timing now with .4 of knock at 6144 rpm at 1.28 g/cyl..so i backed off like 2 degrees there...she pulls so hard now its crazy..until i get meth im not going any further..

 

I was running 22 deg with zero knock so I told italianjoe1 to bump it up some but I dont know how much he did and I havent really run it since then to check out the knock

do not go off g/cyl for "boost" reference. this number can be skewed easy by maf settings.

for an idea.
120kpa is 3psi. give or take a few 1/4 lbs. go off the gauge for quick reference.

 

im also running 25-26 degrees of timing... pulls hard....

on a dyno how much of a differance would mid range timing help? or not at all?

 

depends if you want torque or peak whp

Torque is a flat timing map......

HP is a ramped up timing map....

 

wow..thx..so basically to get the highest torque out of it you would put the same timing thru the rpm band or really close to it?
