Thought I would update a few months have past.
Changed the oil at 900 miles on my engine build, found very little metal fleck in the filter and none in the pan using a magnet. Checked the compression and found 180 psi cold/dry 1--4 and 210psi with a cap of oil in the cylinder/cold. Checked it at running temp a few days ago and it was about the same psi. So the engine is nearing break in and is very happy. Got some bugs worked out of the timing noise after pulling the cover 2 times and replacing a chain guide bolt that sheared off. I am very happy with the build so far.
