Relocating the fusebox and abs module was a much better design. Instead this one has the intake pipe running over the exhaust manifold to keep everything in its OE location. This seems to be a cheaper far less effective method at an attempt to twin charge. I don't even think it would be functional after 10 minutes of driving. The heat from the exhaust manifold + the heat of the turbo is going to be far too much for the OE intercooler to handle.

I guess we won't know until they do some tests/dyno runs.

I think it looks pretty interesting. If it's cost effective, I'll probably put it on my list of things to do.

That car has a BIG front mount. No matter what the intake air will get just as hot when it spins through the turbo housing.

intake,turbo,intercooler,supercharger,intercooler, engine

I'm gonna agree with Alex on this one, the intake placement really doesnt matter. Yeah its going to be a bit hotter as it enters the compressor, but its not enough to the point where its really gonna matter or not because the comp housing itself will be hot anyways. If it did somehow become a problem, just thermal wrap the intake tube where its above the manifold. In all reality thermal wrapping the entire intake tube would be optimum no matter where it was. But I honestly dont think the little bit of heatsoak the intake endures is going to make a difference as long as their is a sufficient intercooler for the turbo.

I do however still think this whole idea is a waste of time and money

Quick question. I'm not sure if it would matter or not, since it's too dark to go look now, but why couldn't you just add another foot of tubbing onto the intake and make it cold air on the otherside. I mean, if it's open on one wheel well, is there anything on the otherside. Anyone get what I'm saying? Kinda like a mirror of stock.

Mitsu doesnt sell a GTO here riceboy. This is AMERICA, its a 3000GT. JdM FoR LyFe y0!!!
And that post was just totally irrelevant. For $8k you could also buy a MINT thirdgen Camaro with a 350 and t-tops, and still have enough left over to throw some giggle gas at it and run high 12's
Ick, just the though of a 3000GT makes me cringe Have fun tracking down any kind of problem in that POS

Why wouldn't there be. Couldn't you make it fit in there?

good to see products like these being made for the cobalt ss's.

i think psi-fi has one made for the saturn ion redline, so im sure with a few tweaking they'll release it for the cobalt. i know the engines the same but not sure about how things hook up with the rest of the car.....i'll let you guys put that together heh.

i'll be happy with my 50 trim srt. hell, can't wait to here your guy's numbers with something like this.

GO DOMESTIC BOOST!!!!!!

I contacted HRC, and they didn't give me any pricing info yet, but they said it would be up on the site by spring.
