Junk.

Anybody who's been in RC knows that brushless motors tend to last much longer than the old-skool brushed unitz. Plus they tend to be more powerful in comparison, so more GPH ftw! I have a brushless one from CX racing in my car, and ~$65 shipped straight from their website = I really don't care if it ever stops working. My experiment would have been complete, and I'd get to baseball pitch it across the yard like I did with the old Bosch pump.

i know the benifits of brushless technology and did look into that pump. what kept me away was the fact that i can only find a pump elsewhere that looks like is made in china, it looks cheaply made, and is it actually a brushless motor. the open housing didnt seem like the greatest idea.

i ended up ordering another meziere pump. by the time i paid shipping from an online shop for a stock pump, the meziere was just a little more money with shipping from summit racing.

SOrry to revive an old thread , I have a 2007 ss/sc and a dead pump and I dont know how long its been dead as I just put a stage 3 kit on it and started worring about that kinda stuff and sure enough , had to hit it with a hammer to bring it back to life. Interesting read here , very informative...I wish the bosch pump lasted longer .....I agree with people the rate is likely 20% dead within a year if people would monitor them , only than would we see an improved product. They need to sell a lifetime warranty on these pumps like they do with some electronics at futureshop PUMP PRODUCT SERVICE PLAN 5.99 a year! Wouldn't that be great .... than you would see the real failure rate! Most of the guys here throw thiers away and get a new one without mentioning anything ! Until I seen this thread that would have been me !
