Rod, JBP is going to provide you with all the fittings, hose, remote mount filter, and cooler(if using) that this is going to require?

JBP is taking care of all it at no cost to me.
Then they will deal with the shipping company for any possible coverage for the damage.
Supposedly the remote oil filter/cooler is about $200.

Figured i would ask. I would hate to have seen the post where you got the engine installed and had to wait yet again due to an incomplete oiling system.

That would drive me crazy and the wife says that is getting to be a shorter drive everyday.

Well Paul, if all of this was available 2 years ago, I would have just done this to the red car and called it a day. I bet I would have been tickled pink, not to mention a lot less in debt.

Okay the engine has finally got back home and so far there appears to be no damage. Then again, this time it was shipped in the crate I built before shipping it back to JBP.
Everything goes in over the weekend and I have an appointment for dyno tuning this coming Thursday at 10 am.

I'm going to need to do this on my block since my housing is also cracked.

How exactly do you go about installing something like this? I'm kind of lost.

Well the motor has to be pulled im pretty sure, then a machinist has to machine off the old housing and whatever else needs to be done. After that, idk.

Have I got bad news for you.

This is a real PITA and lots of $$$. After paying for the machinist to take off the oil filter housing you still need the Bates plate, braided lines for the oil, lots of Earl's fittings, a remote oil filter and oil cooler.
To have to do all of this took me and a friend way too much time. Just go buy a new block or an engine from a wrecker.

Sorry.

Holy crap, I didn't realize it was so much work.

It's only a tiny fracture, and there's only one. I actually am going to have it welded on Friday.

I guess that is worth the try because I personally wouldn't build the kit again, too much time/$$$.
