if the parts are street legal and cannot be proven to have caused any mechanical error your good to go.

haha im at 1207... it would take a long while - I'll mod at... 1500 :P should be a safe number... and I'll have enough money to actually do it.

What exactly would be a "mechanical error" though? That's kind of broad... Stupid law stuff.

if something caused a mechanical malfunction which puts your warrenty into question to fix an issue, you may lose your warrenty if they can prove that the aftermarket part caused the issue. Like if you have a street legal stage 1billion on your engine they cant exactly deny you a warrenty fix for your sun roof or windows. but if you fiddled with the computer and caused damage to the block by running the engine too hot on an after market pully they could easily deny you a warrenty fix of the engine

as an example lets use your car, assuming your warranty isnt expired.

- GM Stage 2 (not that, I know)
- Larger Injectors
- 3" Pully
- Computer Reflash
- 15 psi
- 7k rpm Redline

= voided warranty?

Gm stage 2 IS the parts that you listed, that's the exact makeup of the stage kit, so if bought from the dealer I say no...

Ah.

Let's have another one.

Cam shafts +
Exhaust +
Strut bar +
Smaller pulley

= voided? (tell me what will and what won't - I'm guessing and exhaust and strut bar are fine?)

Seriously, just ask your dealer. These 'what-if's' are merely subjective and depend on the dealer.

It is the result of the modifications that can put your warrenty in question. Just installing something doesn't void the warrenty. If your questioning something ask the dealer you normally go to what they think. They can tell you what they think then you can go from there. If they say that they would need to install the part that means it likely won't void the warrenty and they want you to give em money.

Same here.. There really nice at my dealer. You could alway just mod and if something goes wrong you can put the stock parts on and then take it in.

They are going to tell you that you can put cat-back exhaust and an intake is about the only thing that you can do that will not void your warranty.

If you can grab the June '06 issue of Mucsle Mustangs & Fast Fords, they have a big artical about modifications and voiding your warranty. In short though, they have to prove what you did to your car caused the malfuncion, if so no warranty, if not yes warranty. But they have to prove it. They suggest useing a dealer that sells new modified cars. Like a '06 Cobalt SS/SC with a Stage 2, cat back, CAI, and a set of Eibach springs already installed. They would be more informed about performance mods and what the effects on differant parts of the car would be. So they would know that a ceased valve was not caused because you changed your cams, something like that would be an oiling problem or valve seat/valve guide not disipating enough heat from the valves. Just an example.

I believe I have a Bill Heard over here... but I didn't buy my car from them. I'll look into it.

And We really don't have any dealerships that have tuned cars for sale.
