mainly knowing how an engine works, and having a working knowledge of how to tweak and twists things to get that bit of power out of the cars helps a lot.
yup.....unfortunatley alot of people who know their **** don't like to take the time to answer questions.

Area is good guy though, I know he's answered some of my silly questions I've had while learning to tune and stuff.

the cam swipe pattern is good. no abnormal wear indications to date. im still working on getting a fix made for the lash adjusters that do not require welding to the head itself.

i help those who are willing to learn. i do have a limit on being pestered. if i don't answer. it means you passed that line.

i won't tell you everything. no one gave me a 100% free ride.

not an attack toward you here-

just a comment, because i see what you just said becoming more common.

we, the people who know there ****, leave these questions unanswered most the the time due to a few things, either you should know the answer from doing the proper research, or you should know the answer / facts before you did what ever mod(or what ever) that you did, long before actually doing it to the car, and lastly, your answer may be something thats extremely basic, and you need to find out on your own. doing a bit of reading before firing off your latest hairbrain idea can be a life savor!

"we" are not here to baby sit people and there horrid, ill-thought out ideas. I had to learn much of what i know by trial and error ( i.e. "the expensive way) why should you be spared that same or similar situation? (for free that is)

Being trounced on by dumbasses who think they are right because their buddy's dad told them so is usually my biggest reason for not posting much here anymore.

As Area47 would say, never underestimate stupid people in large numbers. Check the current e85 thread for a great example of this.

just because your dad thought it would be fun to do a herpes infested hooker because she said she was clean gives me no reason what so ever to believe anything being typed by your small fingers attached to your feeble mind.

thought of the day, brought to by me. tip your waitress.

if someone can come out with a logical idea, something that has some merit behind it. i'll listen to it. if someone comes at me with "can i run a 2.7 on 42's with e85" im going to ignore you.

Hey real quick captain.

Coil pack failure.....non-resistorized plugs or fkn with spark dwell causing it?

I wanna put race plugs back into it but I'm not positive that the dwell settings are really what caused the failure.

dwell settings hands down.....

the resister in the plug with have almost zero impact on the coil pack, remember that its just a "coil" doesn't car much about things other then its duty cycles (dwell)

on a side note, i pop'd in a set of non-resister 9's and my radar detector goes CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY above 3k, gonna wire in a EMI filter and see what happens.

Yeah that's what I thought as well. I just wanted a second opinion as I had 0 idea what high amounts of radio frequencies could do to one.

9s are going back in mine this afternoon.
