There is no answer to this thread. It was just some thread started because someone is bitching that they can't bend a dealership over and F them in the ****. "I modded the hell out of my car, beat the **** out of it, and GM won't warranty it". He swapped the stock parts back on, and hoped that the dealership was too stupid to know what the hell was going on.

The thread is funny, I'll give it that. But I just think its worthless to have this never-ending thread where there is no answer. If it goes on for like 50+ pages, its stupid. Its just kind of here for people to come in, read part of it, and then post without knowing what the hell is even going on. The original poster never even did re-post as far as Im aware.

I don't have any power to lock threads anyway, its just a suggestion. It doesn't make me not an adult to make a suggestion, or to voice my opinion. Also, the things I have posted, are based on actual occuring events/facts, as far as how a dealership/warranty, etc. works.

I don't disagree with anything posted in the thread, except for the guys coming in here saying that he never had stage 4, etc. I could care less if you think Im the stupidest mother ****** out there. Its the internet, who the hell cares anyway?

Like I said, I just think a never ending thread getting beat into the ground is stupid. That just my opinion, no one said you had to agree with it.

Just food for thought he never did have stage 4, I don't see why he posted it but trust me he didn't have stage 4 OR meth and also that black cobalt again could have been anyone could have been me or anyone else and him racing the sti means nothing, everyone on this site says they raced people does that mean he should be out warranty haha. Oh well let you all have your thoughts but in the end anyone who did not see this car in Real life will never know

Not that it matters, since he isn't going to get his motor warrantied anyway, but honestly, lets look at all the threads he has created stating he had stage 4, some even had video at one point, and time slips. However, all of his posts have magically been edited. Wonder how the hell that happened? Thats really convenient for him, that all of them have been edited to remove all of that content now huh?

and here is one showing how he beats the **** out of it

And here is a quote even about how the genius used the e-brake to do a burnout:

Even if he didn't mod his car and everything was all bullshit, and somehow his piston cracked due to manufacturer defect...after this thread, I'd have zero sympathy.

Who knows. In some posts he said he was running intense stage 4. In this one him and his friends claim he wasnt. (He as snice started moddifying other posts removing pics, and videos,) Either way. He is lying somewhere. So who cares? Bring on the lock.

The car was modified with intense stage 4 at the very least. There WERE time slips, and videos on here showing him running the thing. He put it back to stock to fake out the dealership. Now he is playing CSI and covering up his trail.....

Who cares though, apparently this is just a "starter" car for him. He's supposedly getting a new Z06....

I just read nine pages of this **** . You were running aftermarket stuff. Any Intense stage kit is going to void your warranty. GM has every right to void your warranty, nuff said. You wanna know why? Because you weren't using GM parts. How many people have burnt holes in there pistons with GM stage kits? Cracked Ring lands? Not as many as using aftermarket. I have nothing against Intense, but if you wanna keep your warranty you have to buy GM ****. My clutch pedal stuck to floor while I was driving, they fixed it no questions asked. I threw 9 codes at one time, the car ran like ****. They got me in and fixed it no questions asked. Its a new car, all new cars have problems. Switching from aftermarket back to stock when you **** your **** up is fraud. I am by no means supporting GM, I think most dealerships are ***********. You all just beat the **** outta these cars and act like they are invincible. My car has spent alot of time in the shop, yeah I bitch about it. But I get over it, move on with life.

I hope none of you seriously sues GM. I like this company because it is AMERICAN and there aren't very many American manufacturers at all here in the United States. Japanese cars seem to rule the highway--they're cheaper, faster, last longer, and seem to be more popular among the racing crowd. Why GM does not produce anything to really account for this, I don't know. I dunno once you start suing *****s and puttin them out of business, **** gets political--it's kind of an outsourcing issue to me.

This statement is purely opinion. They may be more popular with the younger crowd, but Im not so sure with the "racing" crowd. GM makes the GTO, Corvette, Camaro will be out in late 08, early 09. Then also the new RWD grand prix. They also make the solstice GXP which is pretty fast/nice as well. (Sky redline, etc.)

Faster? Thats more or less opinion, and can be debated. Stock for stock, most foreign cars dyno out less horsepower than they claim, where american cars are dead on, or under rated. (cobalt SS is one example of this). As far as aftermarket performance, thats a pretty broad area. You can make anything stupid fast with the right amount of money. Its much easier for me to make a small block V8 faster than a Honda. Its also a lot cheaper to do so. I don't see many Hondas out there that could run with a blow through carb. turbo small block. The argument here is drivability, and gas mileage IMO. However you are comparing old technology to new. I could turbo a new GTO and make a **** load of power, yet still retain its drivability and mileage.

Cheaper? Nah, they aren't cheaper. Domestic car companies are more willing to work with you on price than foreign. Unless you're buying a POS Kia or Hyundai. They are also definately not cheaper to maintain. Performance parts are also not cheaper.

Last longer? Depends on the owner really. If you maintain a car, and aren't a jackass with it, it will last as long as you want. I don't buy into this Japanese **** being better engineered. Hondas and etc. break just as much now as American cars do. Back in the day when less of them were on the road, it make it seem like they broke less. As production increases, product quality decreases.

My advice for the "kid" is to save his money up and build the engine (forged pistons, cams or whatever he wants) and stop crying about what the dealership has done to him. He knows he screwed up and needs to live up to it. I know if I added some aftermarket stuff to it and it blew.. well it would be time to get into the wallet.

Hey my SS/SC is still running perfect with "0" problems... only had it in for 1 warranty claim (right door panel).
