Disable the rear 02 DTC's and you won't get a light anymore.

an FYI for the rear O2 sensor....here are the changes that need to be made.

The rear O2 sensor
Engine Diagnostics>DTC's
for the following codes, uncheck the SES option and set the ERROR MODE to 3-No Error Reported

P0036
P0054
P0136-P0141
P0420 (catalyst efficiency) I think this is the number

I believe thats it, all the ones you want to turn off are labeled HO2S..........sensor 2

Whats causing the code? is it because the exhaust is not being catalyst and emiting more chemicals/pollution into the air?

Yea im not to sure what muffler to get. I want it to be a TAD louder then stock. I heard a sound clip for a magnaflow muffler on here, and it was to loud for my taste. It very easy to make these cars sound like rice rockets and thats not what im going for.

I hear you, I just got the Corsa cat-back installed. Its actually quieter than the GMPP....it is bigger.

Really.... interesting, form the sound clips i have heard it sounded louder, with more pops. I was thinking about just going gm cat-back, but getting the touring one since its almost stock sounding, but still is free flowing with proven gains. But i have yet to hear one in person, i have heard the gmpp and its not to, to bad. But with future mods to the exhaust, it would most likley get a alot louder.

Its not as loud....although it is brand new and needs to get coated with the carbon build-up.

ah i see, it looks like a very nice system, very good quality. Money well spent. Im definitly going to get the dp, then i can build around it. then later, down the raod i Can decide what im going to do from the cat-->back. But that restictive factory muffler needs to go sooner or later.

and what causes the lack of an electrical signal just by using the downpipe? - assuming you are still using the O2 sensor for the PCM and not a wideband one in its place.

nothing, you shouldn't get an error...

there is more to it, but its simple, if you change the cat, it might let more heat by, that in turn affects the sensor which makes a different signal.

so it is the heat that trips it? if its free flowing wouldnt it cool better?

whatever it is, it triggers an electrical impulse, that changes...make sense..?
