Zzp pcm 1.0

I had high hopes of ordering my zzp stage 3 kit, and then reality struck and i had to pay my bills. I was wondering if anyone here has just ordered the pcm 1.0 flash from zzp and if it was worth the 110 bucks. It appears that i'm gunn have to put the s3 on hold but i'd at at least like a little more performance and better driveability. Opinions, thoughts. thanks

I would personally save my money and piece out the kit myself through the forum and different venders. I got my injectors, hub and pulley for $180, dual pass for $50, and intake spacer for another $100 plus the tune which was X amount from my friend John. Buying the canned tune they have will really do nothing for you when it comes time to do the stage kit you want because it will have to be retuned anyways. Best bet would be to find someone who tunes, get them to just remove some of the tq limitations on your stock engine and have some fun. If they are nice enough, they will do a retune for free when you get everything.

Whats done to the car now, anything? I'd buy the basic cheaper stuff needed to run a good stage 3. Such as exhaust so when the time comes u just need the stage kit, nothing else

you dont need to be retuned but if you want to make more power then adjusting the tune is going to be needed

so not really worth purchasing the flash for the time being just for some fun. aside from the torque managment being adjusted and the higher rev limiter theres really no noticable changes? the car has a stock motor. i have a cat back but was gunna purchase the header and dp when i bought the stage III. I think then i'm gunna go the route of piecing it together starting with the cooling mods. I upgraded the suspension already so now i'l looking to go faster. lol thanks for the input guys. =)

Ya just getting flashed you will notice the car liven up a bit but personally waiting for everything would be your best bet.

thanks again guys im gunna wait and just piece togther the supporting mods so that this thing is built right. my goal in the end is to have minimun 300 whp with an m62 and long term id like to be around 400 either still with an m62 or a tvs. I wanna make as much as i can with the stock blower before swappin it out. personally im not a fan of turbos although the power you can make is pretty stupid. =) thanks

Ur not gonna make 300 hp let alone 400, u will cap out around 280ish maybe 290 with all bolt ons a good tune with either meth or e85, if u want over 300 u need a tvs and that still want get u to 400 u will need a turbo for that but i dont see the point in 400 hp on a front wheel drive car.

ya ive seen a few makeing 300+ on an m62. i'm not expecting this number with just bolt ons and a tune of course. stage III is just where i wanna start. 270whp with a good tune and full exhaust on 93 oct is what i'm expecting just with the stage three. theres been one motor so far that ive seen with 400 on an m62 full build but i cant imagine how reliable that would be. A tvs is definatley in the works for the future tho. Just realy wanna stay away from a turbo. The point of haveing 400whp in my fwd car is so that i can hang with my dads srt8 challenger. You see i kinda have this thing about being faster than him, i think they call it immaturity. =D =D
^^^^^ mrbelvedere i'm diggin that quote about payin someone to install your parts. lol

It can be done with E85 or race gas (w/o engine work)....

Ebristol hit 303whp with his E85 M62 setup....

Ok we get the point 1 person out of like the 100s of cobalt sc on this forum made just a lil over 300, and that coulda have been on a happy dyno, but as i was saying he will most likey end up in the 290s with full bolts ons and meth/e85

Why you wanna go to import ? Stay with American, from what I know 2014 Dodge Dart SRT4 looks pretty sweet. But I am sure on the other hand that Chevy will come up with something will blow our mind away. Just wait, don't buy IMPORT!

Im not the one trying to break 300 hp on a m62, that be the other guy. Im just saying he shouldnt expect to get 300 on an m62 unless he is going past basic bolt ons.
