200whp N/A?
lets test toms numbers:
his "dyno" showed 145 with intake and header, dp, exhaust.
intake, header, dp, exhaust equal what? at least 15-20 whp?
lets just use 15, so stock that "dyno" should show around (145-15)=130 whp
http://www.knfilters.com/dynocharts/69-4515_dyno.pdf
if u can actually trace the stock (blue) hp curve it maxes out at 130 whp stock
his dyno isnt a heartfucker...

Here is a thread showing a 2.2 with intake/ intake mani/ header/ dp/ exhaust.

I would say this makes the 180 seem possible...

Not only has it not been done without nitrous, (that I know of), it's really not worth it. At least get a turbo/supercharger so that you have room to improve later. I would think that you would need at least some cams and higher compression.
But what would this leave you with? A car similar in power to a Civic SI, but much heavier and slower. If you want 200 whp, get a bottle of nitrous and be done with it. Or, just get a supercharger. You're going to spend thousands more trying to do something that can be done easier with F/I.
I know, I know, you want to be different from everyone else. But, what you may not realize is that you're going to be the same as every other Honda on the street whether you realize it or not. Not only that, but you'll be slower in almost every situation. At least you'll have bragging rights with a turbo or supercharger. I say leave the naturally aspirated races to the V6s and V8s. 4 bangers need boost, and N/A wouldn't sound cool on a 4 banger anyways.
But if you've got the money, don't let me get you down.

that being said, anybody can bolt on a super charger or turbo kit and go a little faster, now going fast all motor is a little more respectable in my opinon. im biased though cause im an all motor fan. everybody is making it out to be a big thing to make that much whp but its really not. my buddy is in on doing this so expect a n/a style intake manifold from me in the near future along with a real long tube header for the balts and i already have a killer race ported l61 head program. all thats needed on top of those 3 things is some more compression, cams, and full tuning ability.

thats what im talking about, respect to u sir. i cant stand people that drop their car off at a shop, leave it for weeks or months and then come and pay lot of money and pick it up and then brag about how fast their car is. they get no respect from me even if their car is badass and fast.

but yes, thats my mindset too
I know its not for everyone, and I have respect for those that put a boost setup on their cars too...some days i wish i had that power on demand...but it wouldnt be worth it for me

n/a style intake mani would be ****!
Hey mike, you planning on going to the sin city bailout this next summer in vegas??? would be awesome to meet up with you
let you get behind the wheel of her yourself and have some fun with it :P

13,8 and 100mph N/A right
time slip or video

I personally don't know much about this engine but I think 200whp should be attainable. Honda has their B16 which makes more than 100hp/L and other engines as well. I would bore it out with higher compression pistons. When you bore it gives you more torque and horsepower than just putting a standard sized aftermarket piston in. If you plan on keeping it a daily driver then I wouldn't put too big of a cam in the head. I am going to compare this engine to one I know better and hopefully they kind of relate to each other because of displacement.
In the Honda world people make hybrid engines to make more power. A mildly built CRVTEC (2.0L CRV) will put down 200whp no problem. Stock bottom end, Stock B series VTEC head with Type R or stage 1 cams, Header, Exhaust, and intake. With a solid tune that will net you an easy 200whp and like 150wtrq.
Keep in mind I am just trying to use that as a comparison because I know more about Honda's than Chevy's. So to sum it up; I think you should be able to get 200whp with the 2.2L Ecotec.

Boring a 2.2 isn't the best idea, the sleaves are thin as it is. No real videos from the outside but I do have this sweet in-car vid....
YouTube - pontiac sunfire drag races 13.8 sec quarter mile, all motor, for my friend dave K the legend!

well if you bore it you'd have to sleeve it. most modern alum GM engines only have enough sleeve diameter for a clean up hone/bore, not a bore meant to increase displacement
