I feel like the 2.2L section is getting dumber by the hour... It saddens me a great deal.

i'll tell you what though, we fool a lot of people with our cra, alot r like, daaammmnn. and nice ride.. and i made the mistake of letting my friend drive my care, it wasnt what he ex[ected.

i guess it will just take time. its no reaso to go out and buy a turbocharged car for the price, its not necissary. our cars r still quick. i took my buddy around these curves.. i thought he was going to **** himself. he has a trans am. whipped him around a windy road like them crzy mouse coasters at theme parks.

yea, that's how i felt. i was fully bolted, and had the choice do i slap on a turbo, run 14's, and call it a day? and then have to worry about the brakes, suspension, etc. and still have an automatic car. but i had the car for 2 years already at that piont, and now i pay the same price for my 2.0 that i did for the 2.2. i loved that car, but just felt like i wanted a little more out of it and at the time it didn't look like there was much hope for the 2.2, let alone an auto.

i'm still rooting for the 2.2 guys to get some big builds going and whoop some of the 2.0's though with the kits that are out now, and the tuning coming around finally hopefully it won't be too long.

*****, just dont run lean or run more than a 50-75 shot on a stock engine and spray will work wonders. If I was going that route it woulda been one of my first mods. Educate yourself on your car and you wont **** it up.

Lol. ITB with DBW? That is a tuning nightmare for sure.

It was never that great to begin with. We're in trouble now.

You could get a tune, lower your car for less wind resistance, but the best way is definatly an engine build

Well if you look at the parts we have, us 07's got the stock SS/SC headers, as well as the stock SS/SC downpipe if I remember correctly. with our tuning ability out by carputing, we can do pretty good now.
So i'd say buy some SS Springs off someone, get the 2.4L intake manifold, and drop the power steering....

Also I took out my power steering fuse today and drove it around for about 16 miles, I seemed to have gotten a lot of power back in the motor. It was a 60AMP fuse, so it means the power steering is sucking a ton of energy out of the alternator. My gas mileage also went up about 4 mpg too...interesting, and its not that hard to steer it, just requires a tiny bit of muscle.
Gonna give it a week to see how it rolls to know for sure but it definitely looks like it has promise.

Sooooooooooo, you don't have enough power, but you don't want f/i? Do you know what you ALMOST said?

"I want more power but I don't want to do anything to my car".

The "umph" you are looking for IS that lack of power. There is no mod that is just going to make you feel fast, you have to actually be fast-----er. No DP, header, or exhaust is going to suck you back into your seat the way your looking for unless your car has the ***** to do it. Get f/i, or build your engine, ............or forget it. Most of us are putting out around 240-260hp and I think we can all say we've been sucked into our seats....shoot for that. It's not the fastest car on the planet, but it will produce the desired effect (and say bye bye GTI).

dude, if you have an 06, just get a tune. All the power is hiding in the ECU. Haven't you guys figured that out by now. With any new car, the power is restricted in the computer. I'm tuned by trifecta. I smoke everyone now.

I was exagerating a little bit. But seriously though I haven't got a dyno yet, but i know for a fact it gained at least 15 horsepower. There are dyno sheets in the trifecta thread.

Get on the dyno.

Then it will be fact.

The "seat of the pants dyno" is not as accurate as you would think.
