Probably what's gonna get me the most power and is recommended between parts or companies and when it comes down to building up the engine but I've also been reading on here for a while and there's a lot of information. This will be my first build so

Your not 05-06 l61 right? If so make sure you have a reliable way to get tuned before you start buying parts

Unfortunately I am that's why I'm considering a swap down the road. Thinking about pulling one from the junkyard and rebuilding it. Saw you can send your pcm to zzp though and I'm pretty sure there's a place less than a half hour away that can tune too.

So I was replacing the rotors and noticed the right side pads stick up above the rotor a bit. Did with the last ones too which I think are the originals because the wave washers were still there. Is it supposed to sit like this or is the caliper jacked up? I've never seen this before.

In build news received new KYB struts today with the Eibach pro plus suspension kit coming tomorrow. Sway bar looks like it'll be a pia. And a ZZP 2.5" downpipe coming Thursday. I'll be putting all that on after warranty fixes the lower hvac leak. They flat out said they don't care what I do to it but I'm not trying to push my luck too much just yet.

The pad itself is just a little above the rotor and not aligned or the a pad material is not aligned with the rotor?

Could you snap a pic of the brake issue?

Nice man keep it coming, One step at a time.

Both pads stick up maybe a 1/4". I'll take pics next time I jack it up which'll be within a week or two. Brakes fine and evenly though and everything's lined up right minus them sticking above the rotor.

a few goodies for the down pipe. felpro cat gasket and the o2 socket. just waiting on the last gasket from ups today and the cap which comes tomorrow. also got the down pipe and full suspension. i'll get pics of them when i can.

As far as tuning goes, I did some googling and SCT takes requests but I'm also looking at getting an AEM F/IC. I know it won't do as much as HP but it'll still help me take advantage of the intake and full ZZP 2.5" exhaust when I get the catback bought and installed.

good new is the down pipe's in. bad news i got impatient with the o2 sensor since it was rusted in and shattered it and had to buy a new one. i picked up an NTK from advance. car runs fine but yet i'm getting a cat efficiency below threshold code. do the o2 sensors take a little bit to set in causing the code or is something wrong with the cat? i bought it used and my car needs inspected so i can always have the garage swap the old cat with the new if that's the case but i'm not trying to shell out money that i don't necessarily need to.

the test i ran and the 2 results. cleared the cel after it eventually came on and then it passed again. ran it a few times. safe to assume it's just from it being a high flow cat from this info and a defouler should fix it? all o2 tests passed every time as well.

Edit: it only fails the dfco when the CEL is on. Once I clear the code it's fine and passes. O2 tests pass everytime no matter what. Any ideas?

Eibach and kyb all the way around with Moog end links. Rides so smooth and steerings so much tighter now. Now to see if the defouler will get rid of my light and do the clutch and sway bars. Figured I'd do the front when I do the clutch since the subframe needs dropped for both anyways. Then on to megasquirt, wideband and then time to start tuning. Feels like an entirely different car. Lovin it
