The Blocks are identical. Check EcotecForum.com, They have a whole section to Hybrid engine combos.

So I am able to buy the spoiler from the SS and place it on my LT? If so, can I buy the spoiler directly from a dealership? Or do I have to order online?

Trunk swap is easy like 15 minutes and well worth it. People will be on both sides of that topic forever. Some call it "rice" some call it cool. You be the judge. Its unique, until the cop lights are blocked in your rear view

The other problems you will likely run into is replacing or fabricating the protective plastic under the front of the car. I hate this plastic on all GM cars with such a passion. It is the most flimsy POS I have ever seen.[/QUOTE]

you have plastic under your car? mine doesnt have any plastic under it

Hey I have a question. I read all seven pages and I think I got my answer from the first initial post listing the swappable parts, but I want to double-check and make sure. I've called GM and even they couldn't help me, and finally I got one of the Chevrolet mechanics (I work at a major Chevrolet dealership in Murfreesboro) to help me out. He said I shouldn't have a problem because the bore and some other stuff are the same, but I want to ask you guys since you seem to know a lot about Cobalts. Anyway, getting on with the question. I bought an 07 LS 2.2L L61 Cobalt, and I have seen the supercharger for the 2.2L advertised in their performance catalogs and on websites, but it was made for the 05-06 models, before the 07 came out. So I want to know if that supercharger will fit on my cobalt since I know they changed something for the 07 but I'm not sure if it affects the ability to add it or not.

well man, I say a 99% yes for the supercharger to work on the 07 2.2s. The only significant change is that the PCM's on ours are different than the 05-06's. However since the GM dealership can tune it - theres nothing for you to worry about......anything you do to this car(especially after the 08 turbo comes out) that replicates the existing conditions already on an SS can be put onto our 2.2s as long as they have GM Dealerworld or Tech II access (or maybe hp tuners depending on what Cobalt_07 tells me about his tune coming up).

You Have a part Number cause the kit you are referring to I believe is the one for the Cavy. However it should physically bolt up, but tuning is the issue.

I havent searched but by the post about the ss/sc tuning, does that mean I can get the dealer to remove the speed limiter? My car "soposively" tops out at 107 and doesnt even make it to 4th gear when @ WOT. I wouldnt know personally... ... ... but if I did it would really **** me off. Can the dealer remove such limit(or move it to the SS/SC limit of 155?

You may be able to get them to flash the SPORT Package on there, BUT Only do this if you have new Tires. Factory ones shred themselves at 109. That means you dead. This will allow your car to do 120.

Sorry to sound like a noob, but how do they use the tech II to tune them? Also can they 'tune' 2.2s?(2005)

I never said tune. The Sport Package for the Cobalt moves the Governor up to 120 and Changes the Tire size to re calibrate the Speedo. Thats it. No TUNING

I have 245/45/17's that only have like 3k miles on them, I understand the reason for the limiter hence me waiting to bitch about it, lol. My stock fronts were shredded by 6k.

So there is no way to completely remove the limiter? It just pisses me off that my buddy kicks my ass as soon as we hit 107.

I read through a lot but there is just so much on this thread. SO quick question.....I want forged pistons but I want a 9.5:1 compression ratio. I have a 2.2L and I am going to turbocharge it. If I buy the Diamond Forged piston set which is for the 2.0 (same 86mm bore) and 9.5:1 compression, can I just get these pistons to achieve the 9.5:1 compression or do I need different connecting rods???
