Cobalt stock sizes.
What kind of differences on a horse power ONLY basis would you predict from going from the Stock exhaust mani to a pace setter header w/ header extension to hook up to exhaust pipe. I have a 2.5 inch magnaflow catback.
From what my local perfomance shop told me the cats on these cobalts really are considered close to high flow from the factory & the piping the between my catback and the header doesn't really substantiate the NEED for an expensive downpipe.
I ended up getting a discount from carpartswholesale.com and picked up the pacesetter header w/ that extension & headerbolts for 150 SHIPPED!
I was thinking about spending the 4-500 bucks for the vibrant or CIA one but the pace setter price w/ the discount was just sexy!

the pacesetter is better than many members think, but it kinda sounds like ass. but that's just personal preference. but a few feet of tubing is a few feet of tubing, so having that exhaust setup should be decent.
I got the Pacesetter Exhaust on my car, and it sounds good now t hat its worked in, once i 1st got it, it really was razzy and didnt like it.
But yea, i dynoed my car before i did anything to my car and got 148whp, then put the pacesetter on, cut the bottom of my air box, and removed the air resinator and put a drop in K&N filter in and i got 162.5whp on the dyno.
I wouldnt listen to whoever told you about the cat on the 2.2, i think he was talking about the 2.0 cat! lol
mine clogged 2 times now, and now i have a magnaflow high flow 3" cat!
I highly recomend the Pace setter if you want a nice and cheap exhast sense it is the cheapest.
