fit an 08?

I just got my 08 LT 2.2L and was curious if there was any changes from the previous years model that would make it so i can't use this ? if it is that it'll fit then i am def buying it really soon Does this require professional install for it not to void the warranty or is it something that i can do myself ?

I'm pretty sure you should be fine if this thing fits the 07 base models and 2.4L

Orrrr, you might be the first to find out it doesnt work.

Be careful on getting it for your 08, cause we have the SAI. I have the 07, but same thing. Anyways I called the company and asked them if they made any modifications to accommodate the SAI and the guy I was talking to didn't know, so I'm gonna call back tomorrow. I'll post back up when I find out, cause I really want that intake too.

it's still damn cheap

filters run about 30-60 themselves depending on the brand

this will be useful if you decide to build your onw kit, as you will be able to keep the piping with the MAF adapter on it, or if you go and route your piping the way i am, than you can use it as piping for you turbo...check my build thread to see what i mean about the piping, search jn2, ull see my turbo build

im actually going with the garret kit. its a bit more expensive than a DIY solution but garret is a trusted name in my book, I trust them more than I would trust my own abilities obviously, maybe custom build on a project car but this is my DD

Sai is easy to fix on an intake, just get a small breather filter and ziptie it on the end of the said hose. boon problem solved.

anyways that intake is taking forever to get here..

I had a Sunfire prior to this car and no one in my area (Nova Scotia) would safety my car with the breather when i had an intake... you live in Alberta and don't have commodities such as safety checks every year.

we've addressed this in several threads, there is no problem with installing a CAI on a cobalt with SAI. I am living proof of that with 20,000 miles on mine and not a single CEL related to the SAI system....

Well I tried to order last night, but got the AVS error message. Called a minute ago and now I have to call my cards bank to get the registration right.

But I will play the game and hopefully get mine soon. This intake looks great in all the photos I've seen.

while not specifically illegal, you're disableing an emissions control device. that is generally VERY VERY VERY illegal, and for good reason.

says the guy with the catless DP...
