i have an 05 cobalt, the year that hptuner doesnt carry, now can i swap a more modern ecu like an 07 or an 08.would there be problems that i would run into

 

I believe it's a different PCM. Newer L61s have an E37 PCM with different style plugs. So you would have to swap the whole engine harness and everything else over as well. Not worth the head ache IMO. Just get trifecta to tune you.
