Electrical problems with 05 cobalt

My wife has an 05 cobalt and its had some bad electrical problems for the last year. The blinker bulbs stop working randomly and have to be changed along with the headlights shorting out for weeks at a time. Are these problems known for the cobalt? We are really not sure what to do since we have no warranty for Chevy anymore.

First place to start looking would be water pooling up where the bulbs plug into the wiring; Would explain the sporadic nature of your problem.

Could be your cars body controller (BCU), but I highly doubt it. First check for water, make sure all the wires are tight where the plugs connect to the wiring, then if that doesn't do it, you could take the fuse box apart a bit to see if the wires are tight under the fuse panel beneith the fuses. Are the fuses in tight?
