My advice is purchase an actual header instead of a slightly bigger flowing stock manifold.

As far as power gains, no one can answer that for you. You basically have to do it and dyno test it for actual gains over stock.

Is the Header really that small of a gain to justify not replacing it?? Suprising

It's not a header, it's a manifold.

Yes cause it's basically a slightly higher flowing stock manifold.

why are you going to the dealership? as long as you leave the catalytic converter you shouldn't void your warrenty, dealerships are going to be the most expensive way to go... i also think most people here would recomend the pacesetter headers over a honed manifold.

I must agree with everything so far. Don't get the GM manifold, there are better and cheaper headers. Don't use Dealer service, too expensive, and you won't void your warrenty.

The only problem with this idea is you still have the restrictive cat converter in between the header and the exhaust, so you will still get a "pinch-point" if you will. Gains overall might be around 5-10 horses, probably not even noticable.

And all you guys that aren't too keen on exhaust systems, remember, highflow systems are gonna yeild LESS torque, so you're car will gain some horsepower, but may not have all the ***** it used to.
I'd suggest some PNP work on the head. that's where i'm starting. after i do a decent exhaust. Just don't expect to put on a header, highflow cat and take out the resonator and a straight through muffler and think it's gonna pull harder off the line, you won't notice it until 3500-4000rpm, if not higher.
